Fall Ball Softball 10U & 12U
** Priority for roster spots on 10U teams will be given to players who are 10U & 9U eligible per the MN Softball age calculator and chart.
Players who are 8U eligible are welcome to register and be evaluated, but will only be rostered to fill a 10U team if needed.** 3rd Graders with a birthday in September, October, November & December 2016 are eligible to register for 10U, however, they would only be rostered to fill a team if needed. Priority would go to "true" 10U registrations. Please reach out with questions prior to registering.
*Fall 2025: If you are a younger player and interested in playing up to 14U West Metro Prowlers, please register for those tryouts separately. If you are also 12U eligible, please register and tryout within that group as these two programs are separate and there is a risk of being cut from one or both. Questions? hwortz@isd110.org
This is a competitive, skills, community based traveling league and an evaluation is used. Ideal team roster size is 11-13 players and no player is guaranteed a spot on any team regardless of team placement in previous leagues/seasons. There is a risk that cuts will be made.
At the time of registration please note if you are trying out for:
> Fall 2025 only
> Spring/Summer 2026 only
> Fall 2025 AND Spring/Summer 2026
*Different teams WILL be formed for each season.
*Each season has a separate registration and fee.
Register By - July 16, 2025
There is no guarantee that there will be enough players to fill out a team. There could also be an opportunity to form more than one team. If you are age eligible 10U and willing/interested in playing-up to 12U please note that on your registration for consideration. Independent evaluators, board members and/or coaches evaluations could/will be used.
Practices will take place in August & September 1-2 nights a week in Waconia/St.Boni.
2-3 volunteer coaches are needed! Please indicate volunteer coaching interest at the time of registration. If needed, a more thorough application will be used to identify coaches. There is an extremely quick turnaround time for fall ball, so some potential coaches may be identified prior to evaluations.
Fall Ball Games 2025 will be played:
> 10U Saturdays at neutral host sites on August 23, September 6, 13, 20 & 27.
The Fall Ball State Tournament is Saturday, September 27.
> 12U Sundays at neutral host sites on August 24, September 7, 14, 21 & 28.
The Fall Ball State Tournament is Sunday, September 28.
$130 Fee Includes: 1 Uniform t-shirt top and a $25 non-refundable evaluation fee and processing fee.
Refunds: We cannot offer a refund/credit/transfer after July 30, 2025.
Waconia Wildcats Fall Ball Evaluations 2025
Evaluations will be held at the Waconia High School Varsity Softball Fields (purple dugouts located between Waconia HS and Waconia MS.) Bring your glove, bat, batting helmet(w/ cage), fielders mask & wear your cleats. Fall teams will be posted on this page by 4pm on Wednesday, July 30th.

(12U) 5:00pm-6:30pm
(10U) 6:30pm-8:00pm
*Pitchers and catchers will be evaluated at the end of the time slot.
*Please email Holly Wortz prior to July 9th if you are injured or have a non-avoidable conflict with the July 29th evaluation date but still wish to tryout and play Fall Ball.
